Mission – What we do.
Conoce Tus Derechos, Inc. is a nonprofit immigrant rights organization which seeks to improve quality of life, self-determination and protection of immigrants who are distressed or underprivileged in the U.S. by offering programs that promote equality and acceptance by promoting opportunities through education, economic empowerment, social justice, legal representation and advocacy.

Conoce Tus Derechos, Inc. envisions immigrants who enjoy full inclusion, acceptance and equal participation in their communities. While significant strides have been made in society to embrace immigrants, there is still a profound need for efforts to achieve inclusion, protection, representation and participation in the 21st century. Conoce Tus Derechos, Inc. will play key and fundamental roles educating, advocating and representing distressed or underprivileged immigrants in the U.S., avoiding injustices and promoting equality.

The board of trustees, staff and volunteers of Conoce Tus Derechos, Inc. value equality and fairness in a multicultural-diverse community. We believe immigrants’ rights matter. Immigrants’ quality of life, self-determination and participation will undoubtedly thrive in a society where their rights and acceptance are not in jeopardy.
The Backbone Of Conoce Tus Derechos
We couldn’t do half of what we do at Conoce Tus Derechos if it wasn’t for our awesome volunteers. In addition to our staff, we have volunteers, donors and collaborators who help us help our clients. Rest assured that we are all working tirelessly toward our common goal of helping undocumented immigrants.

Victoria Barber Emery
Executive Director
Victoria Barber Emery has over twenty-five years experience in legal, healthcare and nonprofit organizations. She has worked in executive leadership and as a paralegal, fundraiser, grant writer and graphic designer. She focuses her efforts on developing new and expanding established organizations.
Ms. Barber Emery spends her free time volunteering with organizations to help train therapy and service dogs. She also enjoys working with her own Beagles, Mia and Luigi, and spending time with family.

In her spare time, she enjoys days at home with her two sons, and spends time volunteering with Newborns in Need and Habitat for Humanity. She is a skilled fiber artist and enjoys wine tastings at area wineries.
